I think the book you are referring to is the same book that an uncle of mine had received from my grandfather but I have not been able to access the book. Do you know how I can get a copy of the book?

Surnames: Ikenberry, Ivey
I am looking for descendants of Virginia (Ivey) Ikenberry, a daughter of Madison Richard Ivey. She was born in Ottawa, KS, about 1888. (She might have been called Virgie.) She married William Ikenberry and in 1914, when her mother died, they were living in Ottawa, KS. In 1920. they lived in Pueblo, CO. In 1950 they were in Sacramento, CA. When and why they went, I do not know, but would like to.
.
I would like to contact a descendant of Virginia's and William's to share info and photos on the IVEY family, in exchange for info about Virginia and her husband's IKENBERRY family. Would be greatly pleased if you can direct me to someone from that family who might be able to help me.

http://www.geocities.com/heartland/plains/5971/iken.html?200... this website starts with the very first ikenberry(eichenberg) they can trace to so far... it is the geneology up to about generation 11... most can trace if they know their great great grandparrents names... I am from an ikenberry and I plan to (with permission from his brothers children) have this book redone with the newer information i find. and reprinted for any ikenberrys i know of... not just a few... im hoping to obtain permission to have 2000 copies made and distribute them to the ikenberry decendents i know of... (huge family)... but to get u started... go to that website

Just ran across this. Know has been a long time, but my step father was Paul Jackson Heckman son of Joel Ferdinand Heckman and Maude H. Steele. This grandparents were Creed T. Heckman and Hannah Ikenberry.
