This is good stuff... I'm age 35 and living in Colorado, and interested in discovering these family connections. This name is so rare, that I figure we must all be related somehow. At a recent reunion in California, we traced our lineage back to Christopher in in the 1810 census. It sounds as if you are in that lineage also. Christopher is also my only sons name, and I find it interesting that both of are names appear before in our family tree. Christopher Aaron (My son), is the last of the Ihingers (by name) at this end of the family tree. All of my male cousins have had daughters, and my female cousins children have of course taken on the family name of their fathers. My father was Chester Eugene Ihinger Jr. of Topeka, Kansas, and his father was Chester Eugene Ihinger Sr. whom I believe hailed from Johnson, Kansas. My Grandfather has one living sister in Custer Co. Oklahoma, (I'm struggling for her name right now), and wondering if anyone here knows the connection? I would also like to know if there are other male Ihingers related, so that the proverbial "torch" is not alone my sons to carry. Thanks! Aaron
