Anyone have a connection to these Ihde's?

I am wondering if anyone has any information regarding a Christian Ihde or his family. Christian married Hedwig Johanne Harenburg. Being that Hedwig was born in Aumund in 1832, it might be safe to assume that Christian was also living nearby, if not in Aumund.

The only date I have for Christian is that he died on September 14, 1854 in Galveston, Texas, USA, although I am suspicious even of this: instead of going into the long details now, I will gladly do so if anyone responds.

Christian and his wife came through the port of Galveston on December 29, 1852. On August 21, 1854, they had their one and only child (to my knowledge): Hermann Heinrich Ihde, who would later be known simply as Henry Ihde. On one document, Hermann is named Christian.

After Christian's "death," Hedwig and her son traveled back to Germany. I know this because Henry was christened in Vegesack, Germany in 1855.

Sometime during or before 1880, Henry emigrated back to the United States and lived in New York City. He married Doris Eschen in 1880 and had 11 children (only 5 of which survived passed childhood): Albert, Henry, Dorothy, Henrietta, and Lillian.

If anyone has any information or is related to these Ihde's, a reply would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
