Re: Ihde - Hahlbeck family
Hello - Amanda Kloth Hahlbeck is my grandaunt. Her sister, Marie Kloth Hahlbeck is my grandmother. I have been working on the Hahlbeck family tree for some time now. One of my missing branches is Amanda and Herman's family. I am currently looking for information on their family to include in a Hahlbeck Family history book I am putting together. Please contact me and maybe we can share information. Thanks, Jodi

Re: Ihde - Hahlbeck family
Hi...I saw your message and had to respond....I am the niece of your grandmother Della Johns....My mother is Juanita Hahlbeck. She is the youngest sister to your grandmother. I grew up in California and go to meet my grandmother Amanda Hahlbeck. My daughter, Amanda and I are named after her. Her middle name was Martha. I knew all my aunts and uncles and most of my Hahlbeck cousins. I will tell you all I know of them. I am interested in my Aunt Della....We used to visit her in Northern California when she was married to Edmund Johns...I think that was his last name...I remember my sister picking different berries in her yard. She made us some preserves with that. I remember my uncle Gus living with her in the 50s....He said he was over 100...but I do not know for sure. I remember 2 cousins...a Debby and a Harriet. Harriet visited our home in Hawthorne California for a while. I remember her eating an orange, rind and all. I have much more memories....Hope to hear from you. I go by my middle name Jean.

Re: Ihde - Hahlbeck family
Hi...I do not know if you remember me....I contacted you a few years back. I am the 2nd cousin to Velma, Henry, Eveline, Gus, and Mildred Hahlbeck. My grandmother being Amanda Kloth Hahlbeck. I have been trying to contact anyone who knew my Aunt Della Johns. She is the oldest sister of my Mom Juanita. I saw a message from someone who is Della Johns granddaughter and would love to contact her. I have a lot of memories of my Aunt Della from the early 50s when I was a child and visited her and her family. The last I heard about them is my Uncle passed away, she lost her home in a fire and moved to Minnesota, I believe. She is the sister of your Aunt Mary (Marie). Hope you can help. I would like to contact you again. I never got to share much with you before because my computer had died.
