Wow.

So then if Beni is not your grandfathers cousin then his father Gabor would not be the same as I read about in the mine.

Makes it more interesting with multiple Gabor's

My grandfather, who was Beni's son, has been gone since 1984. He told me I was the last Ehasz boy :) My father hardly remembered anything about his grandfather. Even today some of the things I have been finding surprise him. I remember looking up Ehasz online 20 years ago and finding 50 or 60 of them, mostly Ohio.

My cousins paid a few hundred dollars for a family search about 25 years ago. They got this book all about Ehasz and Hungary but looking at that now I can see how off it is.

One thing I specifically remember if my grandfather talking about how the name was pronounced. He said it was not the same way it was spelled. I read now that Ihasz is pronounced eee haz. He was insistent it was an A sound and ended with house. We were supposed to say A-house. Which my mother refused she didn't want me to spell it wrong :)

One other thing my grandfather once told me we were descended from Hungarian royalty but got kicked out of the country and were forced to shorten our name. He joked that it was because the men could not stay away from Polish women.

Thanks for everything.
