Gosh, this is going to be a real shot in the dark as it's 6 years since your posting. Anyway, here goes.

I have just started to help a neighbour with her family history. Her gt.grandmother was Ellen STANYER (née WALDRON)
but, despite the fact that I can't yet find a marriage on FreeBMD, she was supposed to be married to an IFOULD. She was born in London Mar.quarter 1839 Westminster 1/344.

In Mar.qt.1874 she married Thomas STANYER at Bethnal Green 1c/438. They moved to New Zealand in 1875.

Be pleased to get together on this if you think there is a connection.

Joan

Hi Rose,
I think we may be linked? My Grandfather was Ernest John Dew Ifould (1886-1917?1948) parents Edwin Ifould(1838-1926)and Susannah Ann Dew (1849-1925) they also had two daughters. Ellen Ada(1877 -?) married a William Wallace G Craig (1864-?) in 1898, in the 1881-1901 Census it is said no children were had. Obviously there must have been children if you are making enqueries about Ellen?
The other daughter was Lillian Ann(1880-?) married 1908 Spouse name unknown and no children.
All were born in Wokingham.
My Grandfather Ernest married Dorothy Winifred Lawrance in 1907 and bore a son in 1908, my father John Edwin Lawrance Ifould, whom I've been searching for. Ironically I've found out more of his family back ground I never knew about but I've not yet found him.
I can be reached on difould@bigpond.net.au for further info if these people are relatives of yours. Cheers
Dorothy Winifred Ifould
