Can you give the details that you do know?

Hi there Sue,

Sorry about that, I was doing it quickly while at work.

The info I have is:
H J M Ifftner born 02.05.1913 and Nora Isabelle Ifftner born 11.03.1909.
I know Nora was in Hounslow from the bt phone book available on here and I know HJM Ifftners location while over here too and B Ifftner too. All from the phone book.

I have found a file in the National Archives catalogue which is closed for 100 years and this intreages me...I don't even know how HJM and Nora are related...I thought maybe marriage as the phonebook says she is Mrs. But I really have no idea.

Hi there Sue,

Thank you for that info, I just found Nora myself on the death index. How did you find HJM? I can't find him on ancestry?

HJM is my grandfather, but I think I am looking at a bit of a family mystery/secret so got to be careful as my grandmother never talks about him...so basically I am trying to uncover what happened and try and trace the rest of the tree back.

I found HJM's death on ancestry.

Have you tried looking for a marriage for HJM?

Do you know Nora's maiden name?

I couldn't find him, but I just realised that when using a search it doesn't always come up with everything does it...as I went to the page you stated and found it.

I have just found the marriage in Q4 1944 in Marylebone...between Nora and HJM...the plot thinckens as that is not my grandmother. I am now searching through each page to see if there was another marriage.
