Johannes Iffland, Hesse-Hanau soldier in Quebec 1783.

Surnames: IFFLAND, IFLAND.
Just to let all Ifland/Iffland researchers know that two soldiers
by the same name served with the Hessen-Hanau troops in Quebec during the American Revolution, and both of them remained there after the war. Here are their dates and places
of birth:

Johannes IFFLAND, 1754/55, Hutten in Hessen, deserted
in August 1783 from the Hanau Regiment Erbprinz, 4.Co.

Johannes IFLAND, 1728, Mainz am Rhein, discharged
July 1783 from The Hanau Chasseur Corps in Quebec.
