Classification: Query
Surnames: Idleman Johnson Deal Stokes
Is anyone related to any IDLEMAN who at least at one time resided in Shelby Co., IL and/or Fayette Co., IL? Am helping find out more about individuals who signed a 1938 quilt obviously made there.

Jessie (JOHNSON) IDLEMAN DEAL is one who signed the quilt. There may be a Dorothy Idleman who signed as well.

Jessie was born June 1881 in Illinois, and married at the age of 16 to William IDLEMAN. A marriage record for William Warren IDLEMAN to Jesse Idela JOHNSON is in Fayette Co., Illinois, Sept. 30, 1896, book B p 63. On January 11, 1921, William died in Wheatland Twp. F Fayette county [cert #742]. Before the death of her husband she was always found in Fayette co., but by 1930 she had married James DEAL, also apparently a widow. In the 1930 census Jessie, her husband James Deal and two of her children by her first marriage are listed in Shelby county, IL.
