Just saw this inquiry, 2 years later. Michael and Katherine were my grandmother Anna's parents, her sister was Tina, Florentina, there was a sister Julia, a brother Andrew and I am not sure who else. My grandmother spelled the name Edam. She was married to (Karl, Carl) Charles Marchinke, Marschinke (Marczinke). These are all the alternate spellings. They had 13 children. The names you mention Gronau, etc are all names I heard my mother mention as cousins.. My grandparents are in Pine Plains cemetary in Euclid having lived in Liverpool from the mid 1890's until they died, Carl in 1962, Anna in 1964, she was born in 1876. They spoke the Pomeranian dialect at home.
