I am trying to find information on a James Iddenden born 1838/9 in Wye Kent, who was a drill sergeant. He had 11 children altogether and 6 of his sons all in the army in 1901 at the same time. So far I cannot find a birth or marriage record for him, which is also being hindered by the fact that he married a scottish woman called Colina Macleod and do not know if they married in Scotland or England. I was told by my grandmother that the b had been dropped by a relative, which would then make him a biddenden but have so far have found nothing to support this. Any help would be appreciated as I am totally stuck at the moment.
Regards Louise.
