MINEVILLE — Mary Alice Ida, 74, of 301 Sherman Road, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
She was born in Glens Falls on Oct. 14, 1927, the daughter of George and Gladys (Lash) Carey.
She was the owner and operator of The Corner Store in Witherbee.
She is survived by her husband, Louis J. Ida, of Mineville; her daughter, Bernice J. Smith, of Branchville, N.J.; her grandsons, Jamie Toscano, also of Branchville, and Daniel Toscano, of Chishomn, Minn.; her great-grandchildren, Nicko Toscano and Jia Toscano; and her brother, Donald Carey of Hague.
Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at the Harland Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Toth officiating.
Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in the spring.
Memorial donations may be made to the Town of Moriah Ambulance Squad.
