My mother became interested in geaneology (sp) after roots and i inherited the files when she died. If I can help connect some dots....just be patient, i can get distracted. I live in so. Hi, Peter: I remember writing to your mother, Polly, several years ago. I've been researching our common family name for over 23 years and I'd like to get some information from you. For example, my files showed that you had passed away!! Sorry about that. I will be happy to share my information with your family as well. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello: We live in Industry, Illinois, located in west central Illinois, near the Mississippi River. I have worked on our family name for over 25 years and have lots of information on the various spellings. I have found 120 different spellings, but we are undoubtedly all distantly related. We can trace our name back to seven early men in Frederick County, Maryland in the 1770s. I am descended from Christian. You are most likely descended from Henry, although some of Thomas' descendants also use the ISENAGLE spelling. If you are interested, I can share with you what I know about the Isenagles in particular. That spelling is probably the least common today, but there are still several families around the country. Nice to hear from you. Roger Icenogle

What county in southern Ohio? My great great grandmother was Emily Icenogle, who grew up in Washington County, Decatur Twp. She married Conrad Miller in 1861. Her parents were Henry and Anne (Knox) Icenogle, who originally were from Carroll Co. Ohio, and before it became Carroll, Jefferson Co. I have some information on the Icenogles of Washington Co. and before.
I have seen the surname spelled at least 8 different ways, so remember to check all possible spellings!

Trying to find out information on William and George Icenogle living in Washington County Ohio. My grandmother's mother was Mary Ann Icenogle born about 1885. Died in a hotel fire in Creston West Virginia (Wirt County). Mary Ann's father was Maurice Icenogle. I believe Maurice's father was William found in the 1860 Washington County Ohio Census.
thanks
