Mattoon -- Omer A. Icenogle, 87, of 1512 Shelby died 12:26 p.m. Friday (Aug. 26, 1983) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
The funeral will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at Schilling's Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Boaz officiating. Burial will be at Janesville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
He was born Jan. 1, 1896, in Johnstown, a son of Douglas and Margaret Mills Icenogle. He first married Ruth Brady. She died in 1929. He later married Eunice Bell who preceded him in death in 1974.
Surviving are two sons, two daughters, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
One brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. Icenogle was a retired employee of Gar Wood Industries. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the New Hope Kickapoo Church.
