I am a descendent of William "Indian Billy" Ice through my grandparents: Bernard and Jessie Ice, formerly of Champaign and Oak Park, Illinois and finally of Davis, California. I am seeking information on the children of Frederick (Ten Eycke) Ice: Christine, Mary, and William "Indian Billy" Ice, who were "captured" by Indians in approximately 1752 while Frederick was away from the settlement. Grandma Jessie used to tell me the story when I was growing up in California, I I heard it once while visiting one of Grandpa Bernards sisters in Indiana. I have some family history gathered by my Mother's sister, Dorothy (Ice) Thauwald; but I am hoping to find specific information pertaining to "Billy", and the sister(s) who I believe stayed among the Indians.
I would truely appreciate any and all information that you may be able to provide regarding this early episode in my family's history.
