"Indian Billy" Ice and his sisters
I am a descendent of William "Indian Billy" Ice through my grandparents: Bernard and Jessie Ice, formerly of Champaign and Oak Park, Illinois and finally of Davis, California. I am seeking information on the children of Frederick (Ten Eycke) Ice: Christine, Mary, and William "Indian Billy" Ice, who were "captured" by Indians in approximately 1752 while Frederick was away from the settlement. Grandma Jessie used to tell me the story when I was growing up in California, I I heard it once while visiting one of Grandpa Bernards sisters in Indiana. I have some family history gathered by my Mother's sister, Dorothy (Ice) Thauwald; but I am hoping to find specific information pertaining to "Billy", and the sister(s) who I believe stayed among the Indians.
I would truely appreciate any and all information that you may be able to provide regarding this early episode in my family's history.

Re: "Indian Billy" Ice and his sisters
I am not an Ice. I am a descendant of Frederick Dragoo, cousin to Louisa Dragoo who married Fielden Ice. In doing my Dragoo family, I also included the Ice family as well as many others as to get my information, marriages gave me more than I could find by just sticking to Dragoo. I also understand that one of the Ice girls married the father of Tecumseh. In stories about the great warrior, it includes a Rebecca Galloway. Indian Billy Ice's middle name was Galloway so I have some ideas that these Galloways who befriended Tecumseh were maybe family members of Indian Billy Ice's mother. I copied a lot of information from the Fairmont, WV library about the Ice family genealogy and the connection with the Indian, Tecumseh.
