James Roche Ycard or Icard and his brother, Dracy (Darcy?), the one aged twenty-six and the other just sixteen, were Americans. James's passport was issued by the Minister Plenipotentiary of the United States at Paris on the twenty-seventh of July; Dracy's was from the Secretary of State of the United States.
