My name is Melissa Marie Ibberson. My grandfather is charles Ibberson, brother to deceased Edward Ibberson and father to deceased Frederick Ibberson. Charles left England on his own at the age of about 12 to come to Canada. He is still alive at 92. If anyone knows this family please contact me. It would be greatly appreciated!

Dear Melissa Charles Ibberson, born 31-1-1908 in Chesterfield, brother of Edwin (known as Ted) born 21-1-1896 in Chesterfield, brother of Allen born 21-3-1904 in Chesterfield, brother to Nellie born 29-11-1893 in Chesterfield all of whom were children of Alfred born 1-8-1840 in Sheffield. These are my family.
Ted emigrated to Canada in 1912, returned for the first world war returning to Canada after the end of the conflict and Charles joined him in Canada. Both returned for ww2 as part of the Canadian army contingent and I got to know them both quite well when then had leave and came to stay with us.
My sister Audrey wrote to Charles for many years after he returned.
I am quite sure my uncle Charles is your grandfather, all the dates fit.
Hope to hear from you.
Les

Hi Donna
I don't have anything on the Ibbersons but was wondering if you had any connections to an Alan Harbutt who is researching the Dollimores in Marsworth?
I have quite a bit of information on that family from Bucks and would like to get in touch with him if I could just find him
Cheers - Judy BC Canada
