Hi Pamela - My wife's line is through Peter (1844) brother to John (your husbands line) and I have a lot of info since then although there is some that isn't in the public domain yet and my mother-in-law would like to keep it so for the time being as my father-in-law, who is 84, is the last of those particular siblings still living.

It's very difficult to go back pre William (1816) although I picked up from somewhere a long time ago that the father of William was John Owen Kenrick (1799). Whether they were married or not is not obvious but merely the fact that William was named after his mother doesn't necessarily mean anything since John's parents were John Owen and Margaret Kenrick. I can't remember where I picked up that snippet and it might be totally wrong but who knows?

Visiting the old homestead reminds me of my father-in-law's visit many years ago to Buckley, where he says he was met with great suspicion - he thought they believed he was trying to claim some inheritance!

Nice to hear from you

Bernard
