YOUNGSTOWN – Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home Inc. for Moses Hyshaw Sr., 78, who departed this life on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Campus Health Care Center.
Mr. Hyshaw was born on Dec. 8, 1935, in Bessemer, Alabama, a son of Will T. and Lue Bell Hayward Hyshaw.
He had been a foreman for J.D. Fowler Construction Co. for 28 years.
He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
His wife, the former Janet Vans, whom he married on Nov. 14, 1953, died May 30, 1997.
He leaves two sons, Moses Hyshaw Jr. of Millsburg and Tyrone Hyshaw of Pittsburgh; three daughters, Mozetta Mims of Englewood, Calif., Janice Elaine Hyshaw of Baltimore and Stephanie Hyshaw of Akron, Ohio; three sisters, Anna B. Jackson and Martha Carswell, both of Buffalo, N.Y. and Alice Reed of Youngstown, Ohio; eight grandchildren, including Lloyd Mims, his caretakers; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
