BOARDMAN, Ohio – A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Peoples Chapel Church of God, 2145 Hillman St., at 11 a.m. for Ms. Alice E. Williams, 74, who departed this life May 23.

Ms. Williams was born Jan. 25, 1938, in Bessemer, Alabama, a daughter of Will T. and Lue Bell Hayward Hyshaw Sr.

She was a homemaker who loved her family dearly and was affectionately called “Queen Elizabeth” by her grandchildren.

She was a member of the Peoples Chapel, where she served as Church Mother and was a member of the Pantry Committee.

She leaves to cherish her memory, five daughters, Lynette Howell of Boardman, Ohio, Donna (Artie) Sanders and Beatrice (Jerome) Gibson, both of Youngstown, Ohio, Tanya Reeves of Buffalo, N.Y., and Chandra Osagie of Dallas; two sons, William (Donna) Reeves of Youngstown and David McAdams of Boardman; a sister, Martha Carswell of Buffalo, N.Y.; a brother, Moses Hyshaw; son-in-law Maurice Smith; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a sister of the heart, Evelyn Hammond; nephews Bernard Hyshaw, Maurice, Lawrence and Marion Howie; and her Superior Street family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Anna B. Jackson and Lora Howie; and a brother, Will Teague Hyshaw Jr.

Arrangements entrusted to the L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.
