WILKESVILLE — Harold A. Hysell, 91, of Wilkesville, Ohio, (Vinton County) passed away Monday, July 22, 2013, at Huston Nursing Home, Hamden, Ohio.
Born Jan. 11, 1922, on Bailey Run Road, Pomeroy, Ohio, (Meigs County) he was the son of the late Harry A. and Virgie L. Nelson Hysell.
Harold was a Protestant by faith and retired from LTV Steel in Canton, Ohio. (Stark County)
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a life member of DAV Post 53 Meigs Chapter and American Legion Post 476 in Wilkesville, and was a member of HOF Radio Club.
He is survived by his wife, Ammie L. Welch Hysell; a son, Jeff A. Hysell; sisters, Agnes Jordan, Lelia Hysell and Audrey McFarland; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Clair E., Orville and Victor Hysell; and a sister, Leona Hysell.
Services will be held Thursday, July 25, at 1 p.m. at Birchfield Funeral Home in Rutland, Ohio, with Pastor Larry Lemley officiating.
Burial will follow in Athens Memory Gardens, Athens, Ohio.
