Steve Hyrnda
RICHFIELD SPRINGS — Steve Hyrnda, 74, of state Highway 28, died on Thursday evening, Jan. 21, 1999, in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown.
He was born June 16, 1924, a son of the late John and Anna Pytel Hyrnda.
A lifelong Richfield resident, he was educated in Richfield Central High School with the Class of 1943.
On Dec. 5, 1974, he married Eugenia Korbut in Sts. Peter and Paul Russion Orthodox Church, East Herkimer.
He owned and operated the family dairy farm, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, East Herkimer.
Surviving beside his wife of 24 years, Eugenia, are a brother, John Hyrnda; two sisters, Mary Sadlon and Anne Hornacek, all of Richfield Springs; and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Metro and William Hyrnda.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 5 West James St., Richfield Springs.
Funeral will be from Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church on Monday at 9:30 a.m. with the Very Rev. James Jadick officiating.
Mr. Hyrnda will be placed in the J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home private receiving vault to await burial in Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Cemetery later this spring.
Parastas will be held on Sunday evening at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
