I am searching for relatives of the above. He served in the Navy during WWII and/or the Korean conflict. I have a picture of several men in front of a tent and his name is one that is listed on the back.

I am researching my late husbands family. His father was Merrell Hyatt, b abt.1913, I believe in Texas. His wife was Pauline Scurlock. Merrell Hyatt I believe was killed in WWII in IwoJima, I don't know what branch of service he was in. I'm wondering if your M. M. Hyatt might be related. My husband was Paul Seth Hyatt b.10/16/34 in Anson, TX; Died 6/16/58 in Carson City, NV. If there is any connection here I'd appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks,

Hello Sandy, My father served with your father-in-law on Iwo Jima in the US Marines, 2nd Separate Engineer Battalion. I have studied the unit's records and have information and possibly a photo of Merrill Hyatt with my father, Len Pojunas, Sr., and other Marines on Guam. If you are still out there (your last post was 2002!), let me know!
