Great Great Granfather Hyatt
I am trying to find information on my great great grandfather Benjamen Merritt Hyatt. He married Hulda Gustafson from Kalmar, Sweden.
Their children were Shiloh (aka: Mabel), Stanley and Hallie.
Benjamen Merritt Hyatt may have served as a Confederate soldier in Kentucky. He was from Canada. His mother's name may have been Narcissus Hyatt. Any information would be appreciated.
Thank You,
Corey

It has to be more than coincidence, my grandmother was Shiloh (Mabel) Hyatt, married Cooper, then Mcdowell. Also related to Hallie and Stanley. My G'Mother had two daughters, Hallie Maxine and Leila Fern. Fern was my mother, died in 1978 or 79. Maxine (Mickey) is still alive living in Nevada with her daughter. Fern and Mickey married two brothers, last name of Ruth. Fern was my mother. Maybe a connection Fred

Re: Great Great Granfather Hyatt
Corey, I've got a Benjamin Hyatt, Sr. and Narcissa Dennison married in Hart Co. Kentucky BEF 1843. They had the following children: John Hyatt, Mary Hyatt, William H Hyatt, Sam B Hyatt, George Washington Hyatt, Missouri Hyatt (married William H Reynolds), Benjamin M Hyatt Jr. A lot of these HYATT's settled in the Moulton area of LOUP COUNTY, Nebraska.
Below is a quote from Colleen Switzer's "The Settlement of Loup & Blaine Counties"
"Benjamin Hyatt, Sr. died during the Civil War and his widow then married Hiram Wallace, who may also have been a Loup County homesteader. They were the parents of two daughters, Daisy, and Lena. "
I don't know if this is a connection, if so let me know.

Herb, could you tell me where and when the children were born. I am interested in Mary.

Re: Great Great Granfather Hyatt
Judith, The Mary Hyatt you inquired about was born before 1848. She may have been born in Kentucky or possibly Iowa (around Audubon County or Cass County). Her older brother William H Hyatt was supposed to have been born in Louisville, Kentucky. This Hyatt family was definately in Iowa by 1853 because one of the children was born there.
Back to Mary, she married John Gingery April 26, 1866 in Cass County, Iowa. They had a son, L F Gingery.
This is about all the information that I have on Mary Hyatt.

Re: Great Great Granfather Hyatt
Do you have information on parents of benjamin hyatt or narcissa dennison?

Re: Great Great Granfather Hyatt
I have very little info on Narcissa's parents but what I have listed is Isaac and Nancy. As for Benjamin Merrit Hyatt, I have listed as his parents: Samuel Hyatt and Mary Stroud. I have to admit I have not confirmed this information though.
