Although not proven, I have preliminary information that another son of Henry Huy of PA is a George W. Huy, b. 7 April 1883, probably in Nevada Co., d. 31 Jul 1955-Alameda County.

George Huy was a carpenter and lived most of his life in Oakland. He was married to a Daisy Marshall around 1911-one son named Marshall H. Huy, b. 1912. More info available.

John H. Huy is, I believe, the son of Henry and Mary Huy of Nevada County, CA. John Sr. was b. 1838--PA and Mary was b. abt. 1850 in Louisiana. Their first son John H. Huy was born in March 1874, probably in Nevada County. My current research incidental to this line shows he had several brothers:

Joseph E. Huy--b. 1876
James Leo Huy--b. 1886
Jacob Huy--b. 1873
George W. Huy--b. 1883

Huy is a surname found in both Germany and France. More info available.

Paul Marsh Huy, youngest son of Walter C and Georgia Fields Huy, died yesterday morning at the family residence, 857 Petus Street, after a long illness. He is survived by his parents, Mr and Mrs Walter C Huy; two brothers, Tunstall and Walter C Huy, Jr; one sister, Mary Janette Huy; grandparents, Mr and Mrs George W Huy, and other relatives. His funeral will take place from the residence, 857 Pettus Street, Oakdale, Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

Seeking information of Ludwig HUY who married Ernistina REMBE from Germany, poss Bavaria (Bayern). Ernistina died before 1898. Ludwig and Ernistina REMBE HUY had children;
1. Eliza HUY md to ? WILBURTH
2. Ludwig HUY
3. Peter HUY
4. Johann HUY
I am unsure if they stayed in Germany or came to America. Ernistina Rembe HUY had siblings Louis/Lewis REMBE who md Christiana GEIGER/GEIKE; Jacob REMBE who married Elizabeth LAUSMAN of Bavaria, Germany; Mary Margaretha REMBE who md ? KELSCH; Charlotte REMBE who md to ? METZLER. Charlotte REMBE METZLER died ca 1855, Philadelphia, PA. Louis REMBE & Christiana GEIGER/GEIKE were in Philadelphia for the birth of their 1st son, Louis REMBE, Jr. IN 1854. Lewis REMBE and his brother Jacob REMBE died in Gibson County, Indiana.
Will share REMBE data on siblings of Ernistina REMBE HUY, Lewis & Jacob REMBE. Need HUY info. Will answer all!

I have a Magdalen Huy who was listed as Godparent on the christening record of one of
the children of the Anthony and Frances Mueller Folzenlogel family I am researching.
The Folzenlogel family belonged to St.James
Church of White Oak (Hamilton County, Ohio, near Cincinnati, Ohio). I suspect Magdalen
may have been related to the Mueller/Folzenlogel Family I am researching.
If your Huy family is connected with the family I am researching, I'd be interested in

Looking for any information about a Henry Huy b 12/22/1828 Bavaria Germany emigrated to US 1840. Settled eventually in Columbus OH.where he died 10/14/1915. He had three sons Abraham, Daniel, and Henry. Have children of Daniel and Jenny Huy: Dora, George H., Amy M., Lewis M., Charles D., Nellie M., and Joseph R. Children of Henry and Fredonia Brady Huy are:
Henry, Harry, Leo, Edward and Frank(or Francis). Henry from Germany father's was Daniel and a ?spelling Philopena Goss both of Germany. Any info helpful and greatly appreciated. Thank you
