Married to Jane McRae Kennedy (1876-1954) in Spain, 1914. They had 2 daughters.
He traveled to Gibralter & to Jamaica. He & Jane were living in London on 1 JAN 1954 when she died.

William Alexander had a son, also named William. He was my great grandfather. I am doing the family tree for my mother. I am researching to find out why my great grandfather moved away from Loudoun County. My mother is the last full blooded Hutchinson in this line. My grandfather (William's youngest son) had three daughters and my mother is the only surviving. In this line, the Hutchinson name ended with my grandfather.

(Note: there is a very large obituary in the newspaper, which was copied from the Petersboro' Gazette, where Dr. Hutchison died).

I am your father's second cousin. Your grandmother's sister, Loula Wiles Hutchison Nixon, was my grandmother, my father's mother.
Your grandfather,Wilmer Heery,and my father, Robert Gray Nixon, Jr., were first cousins which, I believe, makes George and I second cousins.
George and I spent time together from time to time as children and were in the Scouts together in Decatur.
I last saw George some years ago when we were at Maggie Valley and we spent a weekend with with him and Betty at Highlands on our way home to Florida.
I have found out much information about the family "mystery man,", Robert Neal Hutchison (Uncle Robbie), which I will be happy to share with you if you are interested.

She lived in Québec city and got married in 1855 to François Bonelli. They had 6 kids: Emma, Marie, Delima, Caroline and François (I believe he died when young).

1840 Census = Maury Co., TN w/ parents. 1850 Census = DeSoto Co., MS w/ parents. 1860 Census = Shelby Co., TN, w/ widowed mother. 1870 Census = DeSoto Co., TN w/ wife and first child. 1880 Census = Not Located.

Alfred J. Hutchison made his profession of faith and was baptized on 24 Sat 1958 in Edmondson Presbyterian Church. On 21 Aug 1870, Mrs. M.J. Hutchison made her profession of faith. [525]

Narrative written by Vic Brauchi [472]:
“Memphis, Tennessee was hit with a fever epidemic and was to be quarantined. A.J. Hutchison and daughters Minnie and Cora went to stay with his sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin R. Gill, who we believe lived in Horn Lake, Mississippi. This was in 1879. While there, Mrs. Hutchison died, on Dec 18. A little over a year later, on February 3, 1881, A.J. Hutchison died, leaving Minnie and Cora orphans. Minnie was eight years old and Cora was five. The girls went to live with their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin R. Gill at Horn Lake Mississippi.”

Had 4 daughters: Annie M., Minnie, Cora, Mary. Only 2,3 survived, married, and had children

grandson of James Hutchison and Elizabeth Love Leger
g-grandson of John and Sarah Hutchison, Scotch-Irish Immigrants

Three different branches of the Hutchison/Hutchinson family came through DeSoto Co. on the way from SC to final settlement locations. This is my only A.J.

My Lewis Hutchison's daughter Ellen Hutchison married Pittsburgh lawyer Edwin M Stanton who was Abraham Lincoln's Secretary of War. Most of these families were connected to Robert Lincoln who was the US Ambassador to England.

My Lewis Hutchison was a shipper out of Pittsburgh somehow connected to the Gage Mansion in Huntington PA. Many of these families lived in Orbisonia and were into the railroad. They did steamboats before that. They were also into an over-mountain cannel that ran throught that area.

They in turn were related to Simon Chase who was from Harrisburg. This all goes back to President James Buchanan's summer Whitehouse being in Bedford. His brother was married to Pittsburgh song writer Stephen Foster's sister. I would go into the Redmond's but I am sure you can now clearly see this is a coincidence.

I know what you mean...families seem to use the same names over and over again so hard to tell generations apart and/or cousins from one another.

I have sinced figured out the following about my 2nd great uncles:

Redmond “Redden” Hutchison (son of Sarah Watson and George Hutchison) was born December 11, 1819 in Barree Township, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. He died June 10, 1902. He is buried in the Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania and after all the variations on his name it is inscribed as Redmond.

Redmond married Barbara A Rudy on November 7, 1850. Barbara was born on April 2, 1823 and died on February 3, 1881. She is buried in the Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. Redmond and Barbara had the following children:
William Newell Hutchison, John Henry Hutchison, Martha Jane Hutchison, Mary Elizabeth Hutchison, Sarah Ann Hutchison, Thomas Jefferson Hutchison, George Rudy Hutchison, David Barrick Hutchison, and Elsie May Hutchison

Lewis Hutchison (son of Sarah Watson and George Hutchison) was born about 1825. Lewis married Elizabeth Thompson who was born about 1825. Lewis and Elizabeth had the following children: John Thompson Hutchison, Adolphus Banks Hutchison, Alice Letitia Hutchison, Sarah Lucitia Hutchison, Laura Esther Hutchison, Adrian S “Adrie” Hutchison, James Howard Hutchison, Mary Martha Hutchison, Edward M Hutchison, and Asbury Lawrence Hutchison

Is there any connection with your Hutchisons?

FYI: These are all Pittsburgh families with a relative who works as a printer for the Connellsville Courier. One of the Hutchisons married Pittsburgh lawyer Edwin M Stanton who was Abraham Lincoln's Secretary of War.

This is kind of interesting because I am related to to a redmond and Hutchison family of a Lewis Hutchison from Huntington County PA.

Well I believe Lewis Hutchison was from Huntington County PA near Orbisonia. These are very common names in Huntington so I am sure it's a coincidence.

Actually I had a picture of Anna Maria in a book that some of my mother's brothers and sisters put together many years ago -- the same one that Rick Rupert (my first cousin once removed) posted. I learned about labeling my cousin's children from Aunt Allie and Aunt Nannie who kept us all properly informed about these things. Looks like Rick has the original.

Yes, my grandfather was "Willie". He died in 1920 when my father was 4.
I visited Aunt Aldora and Aunt Nannie a number of times (we lived in Michigan then).

I have come to find that this George W. Hutchi(n)son enlistend in Company H, 2md Mississippi Infantry, on Feb. 24th, 1862, and was killed in action at the Battle of Sharpsburg (Antietam) on Sep. 17th, 1862. He was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD. This explains why I found no other census records or anything about him. This is corroberated by the records of the 2nd Mississippi Infantry.

Hello Simon - Just became aware of your note. Our Bannatynes were from Lanark for as far back as I am aware so perhaps not yours. Euphemia's father was John Bannatyne, her Grandfather Sherriff Bailie Christopher Bannatyne, then GGfather, John Bannatyne, b. about 1666 in Lanark.

I am descended from one of their children - Anson Hutchison Cato. If you search his name you will find he was a teacher at Te Aute College in New Zealand. I have a copy of death notice for his father which contains a lot of information that I would be happy to retype and email.

Redmond/Redden and Lewis Hutchison, Barree, Huntingdon, PA

I am looking for information about Redmond/Redden and Lewis Hutchison who would have been born probably in the 1820s around Barree in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. I visited some older cousins earlier this weekend and was delighted that they had a photo of my 3rd great grandmother Sarah (Watson) Maffit. To my surprise on the back of the photo was written "Great Grandmother Moffitt who was a Watson before marriage. She was the mother of Redden Hutchison and Lewis Hutchison, five Moffitts...William...Allison...Reuben...Jackson (my grandfather)...Mary Moffitt Gilliland" I had never heard about Redden/Redmond or Lewis before. Sarah Watson's marriage to my 3rd great grandfather was recorded in our family Bible which has been passed down in our family. Also recorded are the births of her five Maffit/Moffitt children. Does anyone know of any other documentation other than what is written on the back of a photo for Sarah being the mother of these Hutchison boys? Or can any other details from stories based down in their family?

I am looking for more information on James Hutchison and his wife, Mary Stewart.
He was born in 1802 in Ireland. I cannot find a birthplace or date of death.
It appears that he was married to Mary Stewart also born in Ireland abt 1800. They were the parents of Matthew Hutchison born abt 1834 in Refrewshire, Scotland. Any information would be greatly appreciated. My research has hit a dead end.

I am the great great great great grandson of Friedrich bernhard Von Wickede. His father was Bernhard Von Wickede, a former Mayor of Lubeck. His farther was Conrad or Konrad Von Wickede. I dont know any more than that at the moment. Obviously most likely decendants of First Von Wickede to establish the family in Lubeck around 1300. He married the Mayor named Crispin's daughter. Friedrich's wife is from a family (Vanselow) of note as well. Adminral Vanselow was present at the signing of the surrender of Germany in WW1.

You are very welcome. There are several Wrights buried in the nearby vicinity of James & Mary's graves but I don't know their relationship to Mary, if any. These 3 stones are placed as a group. Ellen Wright, d. 1889; Mary Wright, d. 1874; George Wright, d. 1879.

Also another 3 stones appear to be placed as a group. Susanna Wright, d. 1870 (listed as Susan on Findagrave); Thomas Wm. Wright, d. 1854; Mrs. Elizabeth Ross, d. 1852.

Nearby to those groupings is John Wright, b. 1795, d. 1876. Also a Capt. Allison D. Wright, d. 1879; and his wife Mary, d. 1893. There is an infant stone next to the Capt's but not readable.

All the stones are in very close proximity to each other.

I would like to ask a favor, if you could be so kind to forward a short list of Mary Wright's ancestors I would be very grateful.

Hutchison/Moran Indiana

My grandmother is Betty Jean (Hutchison) Moran, she married John C. Moran they had 2 children Russell Roland and Sheryl Ann.

In my grandmothers obituary it says that my mother was married to a Keith Shelton in Muncie Indiana. In that same obituary it says that my grandmother had 2 grandchildren. I am wanting to know if those 2 children belonged to my mother Sheryl. Sheryl left Indiana shortly before or after Betty Jean died and she left all her history and TRUTH with it.

I am researching my family history because I wanted to know some solid facts about my heritage.

These are my ancestors. Russell Hutchison is my great grandfather. He had a daughter named Betty Jean who married John C Moran they had 2 children Russell Roland and Sheryl Ann.

Sheryl Ann is my mother, it shows in my grandmothers obituary that Sheryl was married to a Keith Shelton in Muncie, and that my grandmother had 2 grandchildren. I was wondering if you knew or anyone knew if these children belonged to Sheryl. My mother moved away after or a few months before Betty Jean died and left her past and any truth there with it.
