Ancestry has in its card catalog several books about colonial Virginia. Surry County Records, Vol 1, p. 72 has a marriage record for John Hunnicutt with Elizabeth Warren. Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas Warren and Elizabeth Spencer, who in turn was the daughter of William Spencer 'Ancient Planter' and one of the original colonists of Jamestowne in 1607.
John Hunnicutt was a participant in Bacon's Rebellion of 1676. There are also several mentions of Augustine Hunnicutt, b 1677 and John's son. John's father is believed to be Augustine Hunnicutt, b about 1635 in England, but I have no documentation. John was born in Virginia about 1650.
See 'The Hunnicutts of Prince George County' by James Cabell. This 2 part artical appeared in the William and Mary Quarterly Historical Magazine back in July and October 1918, Vol 27, issues 1 and 2 respectively.
John's son, Robert Hunnicutt, Married Margaret Wyke, a Quaker, and W. W. Hinshaw's Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy has many references to Hunnicutts who were Quakers. Robert's family was active in the Blackwater Meeting.
I hope these sources are fruitful for you. Good Hunting!
