I just found your post. My husband is the 3rd g grand son of John Gabriel Humphries , his father was Amos Humphries, brother to Charner Humphries. Francis Humphries was their sister. their father was John Humphries 1749-1815, his wife Elizabeth Timms (Thomas), Father of John was Charles Humphries 1721-1803, wife Mary Bennett 1720-1779. Father of Charles was John Humphries 1690-1750, wife Mary White 1692-1750. I have more on the Humphries, but I am trying to connect the Stokes family. I know that Francis Humphries married a Stokes & Littleton was her son. I have a photo of Littleton & Charner together. Charner & his family moved from Chester,SC. to Georga, where in 1835 he built a tavern called "The White Hall". This later became a US post office.
