I took a quick look for your Hulme in my file, but could not locate that name.

My gr-grandfather, John Hulme moved around a small area in England as a young man as I've been able to determine from Masonic records.
He was b. 1865 and mar. in 1887 Alice MARSH. Alice was b. in Dukinfild.
John taught violin and sail on oceanliners playing in the orchestras. He finally settled in Rhode Island about 1913 with 6 of his 7 children.

There are other Hulme clans in RI that I haven't found a family connection to. Let me know if I can help you. I also have some VRs for Hulmes in RI.
