Does anyone out there have actual sources for the family history of Jesse Hughes, famed Indian fighter? I am trying to prove my lineage to him but do not live near VA/WV/OH where my research would take me. None of the family trees listed online seem to have sources so it looks like researchers are just copying information without documentation. My grandmother was Almira HUGHES, dau of James Madison HUGHES/Susanna PRICE. It is believed that James M. HUGHES is the son of Jesse HUGHES, Jr and Susanna MOCK. I have very little information on my grandmother but it is thought she was born in 1848 in either Meigs Co., OH or VA. Thanks for any help!
