Jane Evans Callen (b. 1800 in Tennessee) and her husband Archibald Callen were buried next to Huffakers in the Livingston Cemetery in Franklin Township in Appanooose County, Iowa. At least two of Jane's sisters married Huffakers, so the burials are probably not accidental placements. The Huffaker burials were in a family group:
A. Huffaker, died 1861 at the age of 50 years and 8 days--thus born in 1810 or 1811
Sarah H., "wife of A. Huffaker," died 1865 at the age of 59 years and 2 months--thus born about 1806
Johnny son of A. and S. Huffaker, died August 12, 18??, at the age of 28 years, 8 months and 16 days
O.? Huffaker died on October 4, 1869 at the age of 60 years and 8 days--thus born about 1809
No Huffakers were indexed in the 1860 census of Appanoose County, and I cannot connect these Huffakers exactly to the Callens or the Evanses. Can anyone tie them to the Evanes and or Callen family?
