I just found this Hudson on a world tree page with a daughter "Mallie Hudson" who dies in Cairo,IL in the early 1940's.

This caused me great excitement as I have been stalled out on a Hudson line for years and maybe this might be a new lead.

I have a "William Hudson" born ca 1820 in Virginia (according to the 1880 census) who married a woman in 1868(?) in Evansville, Ind. and then they are listed on the 1880 Pulaski CO., IL census.

The family story was that he went by a nickname - and it was thought it was "Bill" but definitely a "B".

They family of this William and the second wife (?) include a Millie (who dies in Cairo in the early 1940's and married a man named JAMES) and a son Lewis/Louis and a stepson Thomas Benjamin Kane (son of the wife).

These Hudson's are in southeastern Missouri ca 1910 (Butler Co.).

I think it is so interesting that two females of such similar names and roots would be in the same locations and not be connected in some fashion.
I look forward to hearing from anyone with more information on this group and the Miles groups.
