PORT HENRY, N.Y. — On Thursday, August 8, the year 2002, we lost our Wife, Sister, Daughter and Mother to a better place.

Those of you who knew her realize the many lives she touched and the many things she did. Devoted to taking care of her father for the past years.

She was also a wildlife rehabilitator, ice water rescue, fire department member, rifle and bow instructor and County coordinator for the Essex County Sportsman Education Program, horsewoman and homemaker.

She was a lot of things to a lot of people and sadly overcome by a horrible disease that touches the lives of many. None of us wanted to see her go, but we certainly no longer wanted to see her suffer.

A lover of animals, hunting, fishing and the outdoors, in recent years she was unable to do many things she loved. We only pray that she is finally at peace and is back doing the things she loved to do. We will all miss her and hope she knows we all love her very much. Cash & Tango (the Labradors) wanted to say hi and they as well as all our animals, including her horse miss her very much.

She is survived by her husband, Philip T. Huchro; her daughter, Heather M. Huchro and companion, Harold Overbeck; her father, John Owen; her brothers, Jay Owen and wife, Marilyn, Jeff Owen and companion, Song and Jason Owen and grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002, at 10 a.m. in the Union Cemetery, Moriah, N.Y. There will be a gathering at the Owen home, 68 Spring Street following the service.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking donations to be sent to the Port Henry Fire Department and the Moriah Ambulance Sqd.

Any food we ask to be brought to the house after the service.
