Um ... help?

Hi! I'm new here and well ... I am searching for my ancestors or trying to at least. I'm having very little luck since I can't seem to lower the numbers of how many people with the last name Huang turns up when I hit that search button. I have no clue what so ever how to find my ancestors because for all I could know people with my last name could just be people with that name, and not my real relatives. But I'm not sure of myself since I'm soo confused ... I'm only fourteen (soon to be fifteen in two weeks) and I've never done this type of thing before. I have thought about searching for my ancestors since my curiousity got the best of me ... my parents never mention about my ancestors really.

For your information there are more than 31 million Chinese in the world with the surname Huang :p

You need a place to start. You can start by inquiring senior members of your family and relatives about the name of your ancestral village in China.

Let me know where is your ancestral village in China and I will search the resources in my mini library and see if I can find any information regarding your ancestors.

Happy birthday to you in advance!

Wow that was pretty dumb of me NOT to know that. I guess I never have done this type of stuff before.
I have a question though: How is it possible for asian people to all have the same last name but not really be connected together without it? Do they have different clans of Huang?

Can you write "Goh Su Leng" in Chinese? or transliterate it into Mandarin?
