Oh Xinghua (local dialect=Henghua)! It's in Fujian province!

The area is present-day Putian Shi (City). The old prefectural name is Xinghua.

I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU!

If you look at my map of Huang migrations at http://www.geocities.com/bx_huang/Huang_migration.html, you will see Putian was the place of origin of the Gangzhou branch of the Huang Clan. Most of the Huangs from Putian today belonged to this branch of the Huang Clan.

Gangzhou branch of the Huang Clan began with Huang Tao. His father was Huang Chou.

Gangzhou Huang and Heping Huang (My lineage branch) shared a common ancestry from Huang Clan's 112nd generation ancestor Huang Chong:

Genealogy of Gangzhou Huang:

112.Huang Chong 113.Huang Qingjia 114.Huang Sun 115.Huang Bingzhe 116.Huang Chou 117.Huang Tao

Genealogy of Heping Huang:

112.Huang Chong 113.Huang Qingying 114. Huang Hao 115. Huang Guihua 116. Huang Xi 117. Huang Qiaoshan (My ancestor!)

Huang Tao and my ancestor Huang Qiaoshan both ranked 117th in the genealogy. If you are a Gangzhou Huang, then we are distant cousins! :p

Please share with your family and relatives and confirm this!

Regards,

Erik Huang

I tried to input Chinese characters for the names but it seems that this forum does not support Chinese characters anymore :p Jason, I have sent an e-mail to you with the names in Chinese characters and some information (in Chinese) on the Gangzhou Huang.
