GIRARD – Deborah L. Watts died on Sept. 18, 2011, at Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.
She was born on Jan. 7, 1958, in Youngstown, Ohio the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Loretta) Parou Hrun.
Deb, as a 1976 graduate of Chaney High School was employed at Pharmacy Data Management as Benefit Account Coordinator for the past 14 years. She was a member of St. Rose Church. Deb was an active member and supporter of all veterans organizations, the Animal Welfare League, the Girard Relay for Life and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Besides her parents of Youngstown, Ohio she is survived by her husband, Martin J. “Marty” Watts, whom she married on Dec. 3, 1977; sons, Luke M. (Holly) Watts of Boardman, Ohio and Matthew G. Watts of Girard, Ohio; sister Barbara J. Walter of Youngstown; and granddaughter Taylor Madison Watts.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Blackstone Funeral Home, where the family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
A memorial Mass will be held at St. Rose Church on Thursday at 11 a.m.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any material donations be made to the Deb Watts Music Scholarship Fund. A scholarship will be awarded to a Girard High School Senior each year who exemplifies the characteristics of Deb’s life and shares her passion for music.
Donations can be made at any Farmer's National Bank location.
The family would like to sincerely thank the nurses, caregivers, and volunteers at Hospice House for the comfort and care given to Deb.
The family would also like to thank the entire community of Girard, Ohio of which Deb was a very proud member, as well as friends and families from surrounding communities for there love and support.
