Surnames: Hrabczak, Dutka and Kowal
My great-grandfather was Anton Hrabczak who immigrated with his wife Parinka Dutka and their first 6 children from Lanowce, Galicia to Canada in 1899. He settled in the Rosthern and Vonda area of Saskatchewan. There is a very big family in Canada who now go by the last name Hrapchak.

We are in the middle of compiling and writing a family history book and have been trying to research on the internet. We would love to find out if Anton had other brothers and sisters and especially the name of Anton's parents.

Any info as well as history of the area they came would be great to add to the book. I do know that Lanowce, Galicia is now close to Borshchiv in the Ternopil Oblast of Ukraine. I have found the Hrabczak surname in Poland as well.

Hi:
I was looking for my Gparents-Pryputnicki and I was on "http://vivisimo.com" when I noticed a name of Maria Pryputnicha?? who was the mother of Theodore Hrabczak. Any relation?? This is in the Birth Records for Leluchow, Poland. Let me know what you find out. I do not know if Pryputnicha is just a translation error or what.

Hi, unfortunately, I don't think there is a connection. Our Hrabczak/Hrapchak's come from Lanowce, Borshchiv, Ternopil, Western Ukraine. It use to be eastern Galicia years ago.

We are still trying to find birth records for my great-grandparents and until then, we will not know if there is a connection to the Hrabczak's in Leluchow.

Good luck in your search.
