I was wondering if there was any connection between your Hraban family and my father's. His mother's name was Phyllis Hraban (Died may 1983). She had two brothers. One named Lewis (died 1980), the other named Walter (Died 1986). There was another sister named Bernadette (Died 1998. They all settled in CA by 1978.

Please let me know if there is a connection. If so, i will try to clue you into the rest of the lineage.

Thanks
Ken

I see these messages are old but in case anyone checks them once in a while --
Hi Ken, I am your cousin, once removed.
Walter died in 1985. Louis is spelled Louis.
William, Walter, Louis, Philippina (later called herself Phylis, spelled with one L), and Bernardette (with that R in there) were children of Louis (aka ALOIS) Hraban and Mary Roth. Louis had Hraban relatives in Rome, NY where they raised horses. My dad also remembered apple trees there. Louis' family had been in this country since its early history. Mary Roth came from Austria-Hungary when she was 13 years old.

I am looking for information on Louis J. Hraban, son of Louis H and Mary born in 1946 in NY. He passed away in October 2000 in California. I was saddened to hear of his passing and wanted to know a little more information. His Uncle Walter and Aunt Ginny moved from NY to Cal I believe in the 1970's and he had a cousin named Skipper. Please email me at albe1919@yahoo.com if you can help me. My name is Joyce and Lou knew me by my maiden name of Kelly. Thank you so much.

Hello. I can't give you much information on Louis, whom we called "Little Louis," rather than Louis, Jr. His Uncle Walter and Aunt Virginia moved to California in 1978; his Aunt Phile and Uncle Woody moved here in 1971 or '72. His cousin Skip, aka Walter, II, is my older brother. Phile's son Gary Woodhouse may have more information about Louis. I know he called my mom, his Aunt Virginia or Ginger, after his mother Mary died, and wanted to come visit her in Napa, but he never did visit. You may email me at singsosweetly@yahoo.com.
