I am doing Howerton research I beleive that my gg-grandmother
Emaline Howerton born in Ark in 1878 may have been Choctaw
or Black Dutch,her Mother Sarah E Howerton has listed her white on all the censuses that I have found, I have never seen pictures just heard stories.
