I agree with Jeanie.

I just had my Charles Hough (Oct. 11, 1829-Oct. 28, 1864) researched by the New England Historic Genealogical Society and they send me Samuel's xeroxed stuff from the book "Early Families of Wallingford, Connecticut" by Charles Henry Stanley Davis:

Samuel Hough married Susannah, daughter of Simeon Wrotham, of Farmington, Conn. His father, William Hough, was a son of Edward Hough, of Westchester,Cheshire Co., England. Samuel was born in New London Conn., and was by trade a mill-wright. He came to Wallingford to assist in the construction of the first mill in the township. Mrs. Hough died in Wallingford, September 5, 1684. He married 2d, Mary, daughter of James Bates, of Haddam, Aug. 18, 1685; he died March 14, 1714.
