We are looking for descendants of

William Horrocks (Wigan, Lancashire, b About 1815 m Ellen Elzabeth Storey b About 1817 at St John's Pemberton 1842).

Children emigrated to the US (primarily Fayette County West Virginia) around 1873. Following are the children we have:

Matthew Horrocks, born 1847 in England, married on 9/13/1876 in Kanawha, WV to Mary E Pettry born 1859, 8 children: Alice, E, William, Mary, Robert Joseph, Mitchell, Sarah and Victoria

John Horrocks, born 1852 in England, d 1919 in Nutall, WV, married on 3/20/1871 at Church of St George to Elizabeth Kenyon, b 1851, d 1923, par Joseph Kenyon and Margaret Barker. 12 children: William (born in England), Ellen, Mary, John, Elizabeth, Thomas, Joseph, James, Margaret, Charles, Robert and Violet

William H Horrocks, born 1857 in England, d 1929 at Edmond, WV, married Mary Elizabeth Small (1863-1925) on 6/21/1882 in Fayette County WV. Parents of Mary Elizabeth were John Small and Eliza Ferkins (both born in England) 6 children: John W, Caleb, Robert, Charles, Elizabeth and Margaret.

We have a daughter, Eleanor Horrocks born about 1860 in England and married to John William Small b 1862 (brother of Mary Elizabeth above).

We believe (as family lore has it) that there was a fourth brother who emigrated also, but who continued further west and was never heard from again....would love to have any info whatsoever on him.

John and Matthew were coal miners, William was a storekeeper.

We will be happy to share our rather extensive info with you -- a number of us are working on this family.

Please e-mail me directly -- would love to hear from you.

Thanks!
