I am looking for Walter Hope and wife Maggie. They had a son named Clyde which died about 1976. The area in which they lived was probably around Shelby Co., Al. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks,
Jean

I jsut posted a reply to another post indicating the difficulty of identifying Glitten's granfather (Walter's father) without more information such as te name of an older sibling. This porblem is due to the fact that there is no 1890 census to link Walter, born after the 1880 census, to his parents. I suggested two possible sets of parents for him in AL in 1900 - Mon? Hope and James O. Hope. Hope that helps...

I don't know if any of you are aware that there is a HOPE DNA PROJECT. Right now we have five HOPE men that are from the same HOPE ine but we do not know as yet who our common ancestor is. There are five more that as yet have no matches.

Clyde Hope is my uncle, my Mother's brother. I have been hoping for some information regarding him and his family. I know he was born about 1903 in Alabama. 1920 Alabama census has his mother listed as Emma but not true. His mother is Margaret Carden-Hope. She died in 1917 and buried @Fayetteville United Methodist Cemetery. I have some information about the family and would like to know what you have.
