According to the Hooke Family Data in "Virginia Valley Records" by John W. Wayland (publications contributed by my gg-aunt Audrey Kemper Spence, first daughter of my gg-grandmother Laura Bell Hooke and Arthur Lee Kemper), gg-grandmother Laura Bell had a brother, James Walker Hooke b. 2-5-1853 died 1912, m. Margaret Armentrout on 12-27-1855 and they had a son (among others) named Charles Marvin Hooke b. 4-13-1892 and at the time this book was published (1930) he lived in Penn Laird, VA. He married Ona Taylor. Their children were 1. Loraine, 2. Charles Marvin, Jr. (could be the Charles Marvin Hooke you are looking for according to your date reference) and 3. Ellwood. When Ona Taylor Hooke died, Charles Marvin, Sr. remarried. I have a lot more info on this family if you are interested. amitylee@netzero.net
