Yes, I have!! My Holtz family, surname of HOLST prior to coming to America, hails from Warnkenhagen, Germany. There are parish records available on microfilm that allowed me to follow the Holst/Holtz line back 5 generations in Germany. I had a friend help me as the records are in Germany and were impossible for me to read.

My Holtz family line is a public tree on Ancestry.com if you'd like to view it. If you have trouble finding the right family tree, look for Homer Charles Holtz, born 03 Aug 1886; Homer is my grandfather. Any information I have available to me I'd be happy to share.
