I am trying to locate these half-siblings to my g aunts and children of my g-grandmother by her first marriage. They were born to possibly a Daniel Holloway from Wilkes or Alleghany County, who died in the Civil War. Their mother Susan Elizabeth (Betty) Edwards then married Daniel Vannoy. I cannot find them on the 1860 census, but on the 1870 census Eddy Vannoy is shown as male, 7 in the home of his mother and Daniel Vannoy - no Emily. On the 1880 census Emly Holloway f, 16 is found in the home of Susan Elizabeth's parents Richard and Eady Barton Edwards.

This is the last I can find of either of them and even wonder if the census taker got it wrong and Eddy should have been Eady, f, named after her grandmother above.
