I research the William and James Hollis related families of early Maryland? and Bedford Co., VA. Are they from PA?. James Hollis married Anne Conygenham/Cunningham (who may have been from PA? Any help will be appreciated.

Do any of your Hollis lines go into Kentucky? I have an Elizabeth Hollis b.1786 VA or KY married to Jonathan Cheshire b. 1785 VA or MD. One census record of one of their sons has his parents born in PA. Elizabeth and Jonathan married about 1805. They resided in Bullitt County KY which is near Jefferson County where there are a number of Hollises.

I am looking for a Fred Hollis. He was born in Kentucky and his parents were born in PA. Fred was born about 1873. He married Ethel Mae Hall in Tennessee

I am a Hollis from PA originally. My family was from Maryland I believe, grandfather Ralph Hollis, who lived in Upper Darby, PA until his death in about 1960. I have a family history document that was made by someone in the family years ago. I think it shows a connection to Hollis' in London in the 1600's. I could send you a copy if you are interested.
