Thanks for responding. I know you've done a lot of research on the Holliman line. Our family records show Dr Joshua C Holliman's father and mother as Cornelius Holliman and Elizabeth Plyler. The only references to sources I have are the 1820 Census in Lancaster Co, SC and 1830 Census in Anson Co, NC. But I don't have a copy of either. I have a letter from a C.R. Holliman dated 12-12-1969 in Birmingham Alabama that gives a lot of Holliman history but I'm not sure if all the facts are correct. I'd like to know what sources you have and find out if our details are right or wrong. I know that Cornelius and Charles were brothers. Is it possible there were two Elizabeth Plylers? Also do you have James Grantson Holliman's parents names? We have his father listed as Christipher Holliman, Jr but I don't think that's right because of the big difference in their birth dates.
