This is my husband's line. He is a decendant of Marion Franklin. Their mother was Emily "Emma" Virginia Powell. One record I found lists her as Carolina Powell, but it is the same person. Joseph Abner went by Joe Ab for short and his name was spelled Holleman, for most records in New Hanover Co. I found a record that listed his father as Harriss Holleman b: 1813 in NC and his mother as Nancy. I found a pedigree that listed Henry as Harris's father, but I'm not sure about that. I would love to know more about Rosalee and the other siblings. I do not know any of Joe Ab's siblings as he was 1 for the census in 1870 and is listed as a farmhand in Sampson Co. for Westbrooks. After that, he was married and had his own family. I know he also married Adele Dubois in 1917, after Emily died and had several children with her. In the 1920 census, none of his children by Emily were living with him. They lived with Sudie and Alfred Wilson.
