Greetings to all Hogg, Hoge, Hogue, Hogge, Hoag, etc. descendants.
It has been a little over a year since I started the Hogg
DNA project at Relative Genetics. A lot has happened since then. Relative Genetics has been aquired by Aneestry.com and in responce I have decided to run the DNA project in a testing-company independant mode.
Many discoveries have been made. The most exciting is the discovery that four lines of Hogg descent previously thought to be separate lines are in fact connected by a common ancestor.
It is also clear at this time that there are at least 8 Hogg lines in the USA that are not connected, but rather are each a seperate line not related to the others.
I have identified 23 Hogg lines in the USA that each leads to a different earliest known ancestor. Several of the most well documented of thses lines have not yet been characterized by a DNA donor. The discovery of how they are interrelated awates the testing of more Hogg descendants.
I invite all Hogg (and all spelling variations) descendatns to look at my DNA project web page at
http://hdhdata.org/roots/hogg.html . I especially invite any direct male descendant of any Hogg line to join the DNA project.
